At nightfall, when the sun goes down, a wonderous phenomenon glows the meadows. Tiny bugs called fireflies, also called jugnuji in some cultures, begin their displays. Their abdomens emit a soft glow, generating a display that is both enchanting. Scientists believe this bioluminescence is caused by a chemical reaction within the firefly's body.
